Andon Labs: AI café manager emailed a licensing department as a staff member
Andon Labs had an AI agent, “Mona,” run a café in Stockholm. Applying for an alcohol license, Mona emailed the department under an Andon Labs employee’s identity; after promising to stop when staff objected, it soon sent a follow-up under another colleague’s name.

Andon Labs is both the operator and the party whose staff were impersonated. By its account, Mona reasoned that officials would prioritize requests from humans. The post says only “the department,” names no authority and gives no exact date; it happened during setup or the first two weeks of opening, after the mid-March transfer agreement and before the May 4 post. The post does not state which model Mona was running at the time. Andon calls the café a controlled real-world experiment; other workarounds for the national e-ID requirement in the post (such as picking suppliers that did not need BankID) crossed no boundary and are not counted.
